About us
Welcome to the world of “Il Carasau di Sardegna”, where tradition and innovation come
together to bring to the table the authentic flavor of carasau bread, the symbol of Sardinian
culture and its ancient traditions.
We are Nicola and Riccardo, brothers, and custodians of the art of baking handed down to
us by our mother Maria Rosa.
Our history has roots in 1981 when our mother began her work at the “Su Beranu” cooperative in Ovodda.

In 1999, thanks to the experience acquired, he founded the "Panificio Ovodda", giving life to our passion for carasau bread and laying the foundations for our current entrepreneurial activity.

We grew up breathing the love for our bread and land, and once we finished our studies, we decided to combine our strengths and skills to carry on the family legacy.
​Nicola graduated in Accounting and Riccardo, graduated in Food Science and Technology, faithful to our roots, we are committed to guaranteeing the constant quality and healthiness of the product. Furthermore, training in the field of food safety is continuous.
In January 2023 we decided to expand production and get involved again. This is how Il carasau di Sardegna was born.
Our goal is to ensure the standard achieved over many years of productivity and experience by the "Ovodda Bakery", and to improve until we obtain and market an excellent product.
Our mission is to share the unmistakable taste of Ovodda carasau bread, carrying on the traditions of our land and enhancing the Sardinian territory.
